Bio

Tattooing has been intertwined in human artistic practices since ancient times. Many people have preconceptions of the types of people that get tattooed or think that tattooing has not been around for very long but the practice is dated to as early as 3250 BCE. It’s an exciting probability that the practice dates back even further and is yet to be discovered. In pursuing this craft, I feel like a part of this history. Many consistently strive to make their mark on the world and I have the privilege to make my mark on other humans.
My designs are centered around aspects of art historical research. I enjoy collaborating with clients and have been privileged to explore subjects that help to expand my knowledge. My hopes of constant learning and research from teaching are still being fulfilled with tattooing, and I’m ever grateful to explore the breadth of culture & history humanity has to offer. I enjoy researching subjects and bringing that art historical expertise to the realm of tattooing. This allows me to layer my designs, where the main subject is accented by relevant concepts that elevate the overall meaning. Some of my favorite subjects to tattoo include mythological, cryptic, ancient, cottage core, macabre, antiques, Victorian, witchy & metaphysical. I specialize in a number of different styles, including (but not limited to) fine line/stipple work, black ink, color tattoos (neo-traditional, traditional, watercolor, realism, glitter, etc). I also specialize in cover-up designs. I thrive exploring and evolving the perceived limitations of coverups. When someone comes with a tattoo that others have said “nothing could be done with,” I aim to address the challenge by providing the client with options that will transform that portion of their body into something they love. It is important to me that people are educated in the process, comfortable to ask questions, express their opinions freely, and provide a pressure free environment and maintain the respect for body autonomy that is the right of every human.
5 years back into the industry, I now own my own business and am able to focus on consistently researching industry innovations, perfecting old and new techniques, and providing a safe and comfortable experience for those who want to pursue body art.
